Description
The Tahbilk story began in 1860 with the founding of the Estate and original vineyards. Purchased by my great grandfather Reginald Purbrick in 1925, five generations of my family have been actively involved in Tahbilk bringing a tradition of pride, hard work and a love of good wine to our unique heritage of being the oldest family owned winery and vineyard in Victoria.
The 2015 Tahbilk Shiraz
The traditional red winemaking techniques employed by my grandfather Eric Purbrick during his 40 years at the helm, have been continued in the making of Tahbilk 2015 Shiraz. The result is a savoury wine with aromas of plums, spice and background peppery hints leading to a rich flavoured palate of blackberry, plum and anise fruits. Firm, supportive tannins will hold this release in good stead for further cellaring.
