Stonier Pinot Noir is sourced from a select group of hand tended vineyards located amongst the rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula. The Peninsulas unique geography and cool maritime conditions contribute to a highly distinctive expression of Pinot Noir, typically showing flavours of cherry to savoury plumm within a fine tannin structure.
Hand Picked Pinot Noir grapes were de stemmed and fermented in mostly small open fermenters prior to maturation in French oak barriques for 10 months. Minimal handling during maturation with only a small quantity of new oak has ensured the preservation of the delicate and bright fruit flavours that are so intrinsic to Stonier Pinot Noir
