Good winter rains followed by a warm growing season led to good yields of fruit. A hot beginning to the harvest period accelerated the ripening with frantic harvesting ensuring the fruit was picked with the ideal flavour spectrum.
Appearance
Intense maroon filling out to a violet rim.
Bouquet
This wine shows brooding concentrations of plums and blackberry accompanying a white pepper and savoury finish.
Palate
Ripe and generous dark forest fruits creates this opulent textured style. The palate has supple vanilla tones with a backdrop of oak showing burnt chocolate. A balanced wine of soft tannins with lifted notes of pepper and spice filling the mouth providing a smooth mellow generous finish.
