The fruit doesn't fall far from the vine. After school, Michael Schild used to be his dad's constant shadow, keenly helping him prune, shift soaker hoses and pick grapes. Michael and Ed have shared passion for meticulously working the vineyards to produce the best grapes for filling a top notch bottle. They aim to pick fruit that defines the vine's character and the land's integrity. Sourced from some of our cooler vineyards this wine shows the essence of this great variety as a pure expression of Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe blackcurrant and cigar box characters fill the nose with juicy black fruits and soft, round tannins filling out a long and supple palate. Twelve months in fine French Oak adds complex characters and serious structure and ensures this wine can be cellared with confidence. The perfect transformation from well-tended vines to fine wines.
