Zwack Unicum Herb Liqueur

Description

Looks: Light amber, clear, huge legs. Good packaging too. The spherical bottle is appealing and the red cross motif really makes it seem like it might offer some medicinal benefit.

Aroma: Lots of cloves and alcohol sweetness.

Taste: Initially very sweet and honeyed then the intense cloves hit and it all goes bitter from there on in. Quite dusty feeling. There’s also orange peel in the bitterness which makes me think of Campari.

Mouthfeel: Thick and warming. I expect I’ll say this in all reviews of bitters.
